Meet Pranav
Counselling Psychologist & Founder - CEO
I am Pranav, a passionate Counselling Psychologist with a dynamic approach, specializing in working with young adults and adolescents. I bring a fresh perspective and a commitment to building collaborative and empathetic therapeutic relationships. I hold a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Counseling Psychology from St. Joseph University, where I received comprehensive training in therapeutic techniques, micro-skills of counseling, adolescent counseling, psychoeducation, and group counseling. This strong foundation, coupled with my dedication to lifelong learning, ensures that I can offer the most effective and up-to-date support available. I continuously seek new methods and expand my knowledge to enhance my therapeutic skills and provide the best possible care.
I believe therapy is a journey of shared exploration, and I am honored to walk alongside my clients on their paths to mental and emotional well-being. My therapeutic approach centers on creating a safe, non-judgmental, and supportive environment where individuals feel comfortable exploring their emotions, thoughts, and experiences without reservation. I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship is essential for growth and healing, and I prioritize building trust and rapport with each client. I work collaboratively with individuals to develop personalized treatment plans that align with their specific needs, goals, and preferences, recognizing that each person's journey is unique.
In my practice, I utilize a toolbox of eclectic approaches, drawing from evidence-based modalities like Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). This allows me to tailor my approach to best suit the individual client and the specific challenges they face.

My areas of expertise encompass a range of concerns commonly experienced by young adults and adolescents, including anxiety disorders, which can manifest in various ways during this developmental period, often impacting academic performance, social interactions, and overall well-being. I also provide support for individuals struggling with depression, a prevalent mental health concern that can significantly affect mood, motivation, and daily functioning. Furthermore, I offer guidance and strategies for managing stress and burnout, issues that are increasingly common in today's fast-paced and demanding world. I assist clients in developing healthy coping mechanisms and stress-reduction techniques to navigate academic pressures, social expectations, and personal challenges.

Beyond these specific mental health concerns, I also address occupational difficulties, recognizing the importance of career exploration and satisfaction for young adults. I help clients identify their strengths, interests, and values, and provide support in navigating the complexities of the job market or educational pursuits. I also offer social skills and assertiveness training, empowering individuals to build confidence in social situations, develop effective communication skills, and establish healthy boundaries. I understand that strong social connections and the ability to express oneself confidently are crucial for overall well-being and success in life. Additionally, I have specialized training in working with individuals experiencing Obsessive-Compulsive Personality Disorder (Anankastic Personality), providing tailored therapeutic interventions to address the unique challenges associated with this condition.

My commitment extends beyond simply addressing immediate concerns. I strive to empower young people with the tools and skills they need to navigate life's challenges effectively and build resilience for the future. I am deeply committed to helping young people reach their full potential, fostering self-discovery, promoting personal growth, and supporting them in creating a brighter and more fulfilling future for themselves.
